— Gutter Profiles We Install

Three profiles. Sized to your roof.

01

5" K-Style Aluminum

Most common. Central Valley default — handles typical residential runoff.

  • Material: .027 or .032 aluminum (.032 recommended)
  • Best for: typical 1,500–3,500 sq ft homes
  • Colors: 20+ baked-on finish options
  • Warranty: 25-yr finish, lifetime structure
02

6" K-Style Aluminum

High-capacity. 40% more capacity than 5" — for steep pitches or large roofs.

  • Material: .032 aluminum (no .027 option in 6")
  • Best for: 3,500+ sq ft, steep pitch, hilly lots, heavy tree cover
  • Downspouts: 3×4" standard (vs 2×3" on 5")
  • Warranty: 25-yr finish, lifetime structure
03

Half-Round Copper or Galvanized

Premium aesthetic. Historic homes. 50+ year material.

  • Material: 16 oz copper or 24 ga galvanized steel
  • Best for: historic restorations, premium custom homes
  • Lifespan: 50+ years (copper develops patina; galvanized stays gray)
  • Warranty: 30-yr finish, lifetime structure

SystemPer linear foot installedTypical home (150 LF)Warranty
5" K-Style Aluminum$10–$15$1,500–$2,25025 yr finish
6" K-Style Aluminum$12–$18$1,800–$2,70025 yr finish
Half-Round Galvanized$16–$25$2,400–$3,75030 yr finish
Half-Round Copper$28–$45$4,200–$6,75030 yr finish
Add: Leaf guard / hood (+$8–$15/LF)+$1,200–$2,25010 yr

Final cost depends on home perimeter (LF), number of downspouts required (one per ~35 LF rule), fascia condition (replacement adds $4–$8/LF), and whether old gutters need removal first. Gutters can be scheduled the day after a roof replacement so the crew can flash eaves and drip-edge correctly before the new gutters mount up.

41 years on roofs · What we've learned about gutters

Gutters fail because of slope, not size.

Most gutter complaints we hear — overflow, pooling, ice in winter — trace back to a quarter-inch-per-10-feet slope error, not the gutter size. Seamless aluminum cut on-site to the exact roof line, with downspouts placed to handle Central Valley's flash rainstorms, outlasts the bargain sectional product by 15+ years.

— Gutter Installation Questions

The questions homeowners actually ask.

5" or 6" gutters — which do I need?

5" K-style handles ~95% of Central Valley residential homes. We recommend 6" if any of the following apply: roof area over 3,500 sqft, pitch steeper than 8/12, lots of tree-cover (more debris), or you've had overflow problems with existing 5" gutters. 6" adds about 25% to material cost but eliminates capacity concerns. We measure roof area and recommend the right size during the free inspection — no upsell pressure if 5" is sufficient.

Are leaf guards worth it?

If you have oak, maple, or sycamore trees within 30 feet of the house — yes, leaf guards pay back in cleaning-cost savings within 3–5 years. If your lot is mostly clear or you have evergreen / pine cover (needles slip past most guards), the math is weaker. Quality matters: we install hood-style or micro-mesh guards (not the cheap foam-insert kind that clogs in 18 months). Plan ~$1,200–$2,250 added for a typical 150 LF home.

How long does a gutter installation take?

Most single-story homes: 4–6 hours, finished in one day. Two-story homes: 6–10 hours, usually one day. Homes requiring fascia replacement first: 1.5–2 days. We measure on the inspection day and roll seamless gutters on-site (no factory shipping wait). Material delivered the morning install starts.

Can you install gutters during California's rainy season?

Yes — gutter installs aren't weather-sensitive the way roof tear-offs are. The work is mostly exterior-edge attachment and doesn't expose your home interior. We schedule around storm days but rain alone doesn't stop a gutter job. In fact, rainy-season installs let us watch the new gutters drain during a real storm and verify the downspout placement before we leave.

Do you do gutter repair and cleaning too, or just installation?

Yes — repairs (re-pitching, leak sealing, joint repair, downspout adjustment), cleaning (typical $150–$300 per single-story home), and full installation. Most repair calls turn into install conversations once we look at the existing system's age — gutters older than 15 years often cost more to repair than replace. We always quote both options when relevant.

What's covered by the gutter warranty?

Material warranty: 25 years on the baked-on aluminum finish (K-style), 30 years on half-round galvanized / copper finish, lifetime on the structural metal. Workmanship warranty: 1–2 years on install (pitch, seam integrity, downspout attachment). All warranties are written, transferable to the next homeowner, and registered in your name at install close-out.

When You Need It

When to call us for gutter installation.

New gutter install is appropriate when existing gutters have failed beyond repair (rusted through, separated from fascia, sized incorrectly for roof area). When adding a new addition or remodeling. When upgrading from box-style or half-round to seamless aluminum, or when first-time install is needed on a home that lacks them.

Materials & Methods

Gutter Installation materials & systems we install.

Seamless aluminum gutters in K-style profile are the standard. We install them in 5-inch or 6-inch widths based on your roof drainage area. Aluminum is rust-proof. It’s available in 30+ baked-enamel colors. We custom-fabricate each run on-site to match your exact roof line. No seams except at corners.

Process & Timeline

What to expect — our gutter installation process.

Install projects start with a measurement and material order. We cut seamless gutters on-site with a portable forming machine. They install in steady runs — no seams between corners. Brackets are spaced every 24 inches and screwed into fascia, not nailed. Downspouts route water away from your foundation.

Cost Factors

Gutter Installation cost in California.

Seamless aluminum gutter install usually runs $10–$15 per linear foot. A typical 200-foot residential install costs $1,800-$3,200 including downspouts. Gutter guards add $5-$8/linear foot depending on system. Copper gutters run $25-$40/linear foot. Half-round profiles add 30-50% over K-style baseline.

What sets us apart

Why homeowners choose us for gutter installation.

Certifications — top 1-2% of installers nationwide

Most local roofers can install the materials. Few can register the manufacturer warranties that protect those installations for 25-50 years. As an OC Platinum Preferred contractor (top 1% of Owens Corning installers nationwide), we register Platinum Protection warranties that cover both materials and workmanship for life, with no proration over time. As a GAF Master Elite contractor (top 2% of GAF installers), we register Golden Pledge warranties that cover 50 years of materials plus 25 years of workmanship. None of these warranty tiers are available through uncertified contractors.

Audits keep the certifications honest

Each manufacturer maintains the certification only if our install quality and review scores stay above their thresholds. As a result, we can’t cut corners on material grade, install method, or finish quality — the manufacturers track every job we register. We’ve held OC Platinum Preferred since 2008 and GAF Master Elite for over a decade.

W-2 crews, factory-trained

The crew matters as much as the certifications. Our gutter crews are W-2 employees of Econo Roofing — not subcontractors — and each crew member completes annual factory training from GAF and Owens Corning. The difference between a 25-year roof and a 35-year roof comes down to install detail: proper underlayment lap, correct nail placement and depth, sealed flashing, adequate attic ventilation. Mario or Brian personally reviews every project scope before work begins and walks the finished roof before the crew leaves.

Bonded, insured, family-owned since 1996

We stand by our work financially. We carry $1 million general liability insurance and full workers comp coverage, plus a $25,000 CSLB contractor bond. License #749551 — verifiable at CSLB.ca.gov. We’re Latino-owned, family-owned, and operated since 1996: same family, same standards, deep roots in the Central Valley. That permanence matters when you’re investing in 30-50 years of weatherproofing.
